About Kochav Yaakov

Established just north of Jerusalem in 1984, Kochav Yaakov is home to a community of devoutly religious pioneers who work in a wide array of professional arenas including academia, education, and the Rabbinic world. Contributing to its rich cultural fabric, Kochav Yaakov has welcomed in many pioneers who, like the Biblical Patriarch Abraham, left the lands of their upbringing and moved to Israel. Unfortunately, many families in Kochav Yaakov face economic hardship. Still, the pioneers of Kochav Yaakov never cease in their determination to expand their community and absorb more and more families each year.

Raising funds to feed Hungry Children

Home to many new immigrants and low-income families, Kochav Yaakov is a vibrant and welcoming community just outside Jerusalem. But for too many local children, daily hunger is a painful reality. The community runs a hot lunch program in its schools, ensuring all children receive a nutritious meal—regardless of their parents’ ability to pay. Your support will help feed 75 children still in need, offering them dignity, nourishment, and the strength to thrive in the Biblical Heartland.
